U turn and continue life

Our life Journey

I use my bike to go to work. I take the same route every day. It is much less expensive and affordable. I love riding my bike. One advantage of riding the bike is that it needs less space than other big vehicles. Especially when in the traffic light, bikers take the side of other big vehicles and get ahead. In a heavy traffic, bikers usually get ahead by taking the side of the road or the side other vehicles. That is a big advantage.

But I noticed one thing while riding my bike. When I near a traffic light, it seems that there is no way to get ahead. I have to get behind all of the vehicles stopped on the road. But when get closer to the vehicles, I could see little space enough for my bike to get ahead. When I get ahead of one vehicle, there I find another space.... Eventually, I'll be in front of the other vehicles.

How we ride our life?

Life is like this. When we look ahead, it seems that there is no way to get ahead. All doors are closed. Obstacles are there in front of us. A wall is built in front of us etc.,

But the interesting thing is that when we get closer to one obstacle, there we find an opening to get ahead!!! When we look ahead we again find many closed roads or obstacles. But when we near the end, there we find another opening.

One more interesting thing I saw is that, when people see a heavy traffic ahead, they take U turn. They are not willing to wait. They wanted to get ahead immediately. They do not have the patience to wait or move slowly. So they take U turn. They drop the plan of going ahead. Sometimes, they are the looser.

But, when we wait and move slowly behind the heavy traffic, we find that it was for a short period or for a particular area. After that slow movement, you will find wide and open road ahead.

Life is like this. Sometimes we have to wail. Sometimes we have to go slow. Sometimes we have to get closer to the obstacle to see the opening. To get ahead, we need to have patience.

To win in the race of life, we need to be patient and never take the U-turns in our life.

When it comes to bad habits like drinking, smoking etc., it is better to take a U-turn. There is a time to take the U-turn on our life's journey. If the road takes us to destruction, it is better to take the U-turn before it is too late.

CLASSIFICATION OF LIVING ORGANISMS

CLASSIFICATION OF LIVING ORGANISMS

If we just revolve our eyes in our surroundings, we see many organisms around us. Some very small like bacteria while some big even as an elephant. Some transparent while some colorful. Some that which live only a few days while some lives for thousands of years. Some plants are small as Algae and while some tall as Redwood trees of California.
And it is not easy to study all of them in detail. So all of them are classified on the basis of their similarities between them.
What is classification?
Grouping of organisms on the basis that how they are closely related.
What is the basis of classification?
Classification is done on the basis of three things.
  1. Mode of nutrition
  2. Complexity of cells
  3. Unicellular or multicellular
Mode of nutrition- there are two modes of nutrition. Autotrophic and heterotrophic.
Autotrophic type of organisms makes their own food by the process of photosynthesis in the presence of sunlight. These mainly include plants.
Heterotroph organisms are dependent on the autotrophs of their foods. These are mainly animals.
The complexity of cell– some are prokaryotic organisms and some eukaryotic organisms.
Prokaryotic organisms are the organisms which do not have well-defined membrane-bound organelles.
Eukaryotic organisms are the organisms which have well-defined membrane-bound organelles
Unicellular or Multicellular
some organisms have a single cell which performs all the functions while some organisms have many cells and specified cells are to do specified functions. The organisms which have a single cell is called unicellular organism and the organisms which have multiple cells are known as multicellular organisms.

Importance of classification

There are quite a few importance of classification they are
1 They make the study of organism easier
2 It summarizes all life forms.
3 It helps us to learn the relationship between different kinds of organisms.
4 It is basic for all other biological sciences like ecology, zoology etc.
The hierarchy of classification - groups
Many biologists have tried to classify organisms into the category of kingdoms. Some of them are Ernst Haeckel, Robert Whittaker, and Carl Woese
The classification proposed by Whittaker have five kingdoms they are:
Monera,
Protista,
Fungi,
Plantae,
Animalia.
The further classification is done by naming of organisms into different subgroups. The classification scheme is
  • Kingdom
  • phylum [for animals ] / division [for plant]
  • class
  • order
  • family
  • genus
  • species
Species - it is the lowermost category and the basic unit of classification. The members of these species look alike in their appearance. It has the widest range of organisms
Genus - similar kinds of species are classified into the genus.
Family- similar genera are grouped into family
Order – similar families are grouped into order
Class – similar orders are grouped into classes
Phylum – similar classes are grouped into phylum
Kingdom– similar phyla are grouped into a kingdom
The 5 kingdom classification proposed by Whittaker are -
Kingdom Monera
  • They are prokaryotic organisms and do not have defined nucleus or organelles.
  • They are mostly unicellular organisms, some have cell wall while some don't.
  • Their mode of nutrition may be autotrophic or heterotrophic.
  • They are usually non – motile animals.
  • Example – blue-green algae, bacteria, mycoplasma
Kingdom Protista
  • They are eukaryotic organisms and have well-defined nucleus and organelles.
  • They are unicellular organisms.
  • Their mode of nutrition may be autotrophic or heterotrophic.
  • They have flagella for moving around.
  • Example – amoeba , paramecium , euglena etc.
Kingdom Fungi
  • They are eukaryotic, multicellular organisms.
  • They are mostly non-motile.
  • They are saprophytes i.e, they depend on dead and decaying organisms for their food.
  • They have a cell wall made of chitin.
  • Examples – yeast, mushroom etc.
Kingdom Plantae
  • They are eukaryotic, multicellular organisms.
  • They have a cell wall made of cellulose.
  • They are auto-trophic organisms.
  • They store carbohydrates in the form of starch.
  • Example – all plants
Kingdom Animalia
  • They are eukaryotic, multicellular organisms.
  • Their cells do not have cell wall instead they have a cell membrane.
  • They are heterotrophic.
  • They are motile i.e., they have legs for locomotion.
How complicated is our diversity! That is why it is necessary to classify these organisms into different groups to learn about them and to understand them easily. Classification of organisms has come out as a boon for other biologists. It has made researches more easier than eve

New year promise for 1st January 2019

“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.
20 The wild animals honor me,
    the jackals and the owls,
because I provide water in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,
21     the people I formed for myself
that they may proclaim my praise.
Isaiah 43:18-21

God is going to do new things in this new year 2019.  God is going to anoint the Churches with new Anointing.  Now we have to get ready for the New anointing.

Types of Promoters

Types of Promoters

Promoters may be classified into the following types.

Financial promoters

Financial institutions, like industrial banks, or investment banks may take up the promotion of a company with a view to finding opportunities for investment,

Professional promoters

There are firms which specialize in company promotion, including its flotation, incorporation, and before handing it over to the shareholders or their representatives for the company.

Entrepreneur promoters

They conceive the idea of a new business unit, do the groundwork to establish it and may subsequently become a part of the management. They are both promoters and entrepreneurs.

Occasional promoters

They are not engaged in promotion work on a regular basis. They take up the promotion of some company and once it is over they go to their original profession. For instance, engineers, lawyers etc. may float some companies. These promoters take interest in floating some companies.

Importance and need of a Mirror

True Friend tells the truth.

The mirror always tells the truth, not like your friends who tells good about you always
The mirror always tells the truth, not like your friends who tells good about you always

Importance and need of a Mirror

We all look at the mirror every day. Every home and office have at least one mirror. We use it to comb our hair. We do makeup in our face with the help of a mirror. We use it to see whether there are any wrinkles in our dress or dislocation of dress, etc. Every day before leaving our home, we go and look at the mirror to see how we look like. If the hair is not combed, we take time to comb it before leaving the mirror. The mirror shows us the exact reflection of us. Original quality without any modification, the mirror shows us how we look like. It doesn't know deceit. I won't try to tell you positive side of your life. It will not add anything to your appearance. It will not deceive you. You can trust it.

The mirror is not like your good friend who tells all good things about you and ignores all the bad things about you. Your friends will always say the good things about you. Your spouse will say good or sometimes nasty things about you. Your children may say something good about you to get something out of you. But a mirror is not like that. It doesn't expect anything from you. It's not looking for your love or compassion. It's not affected by emotions. It's not looking for satisfaction. You can trust it. That is why if someone says something about your appearance, you run to a mirror to see whether it is true or not. Because a mirror tells you the truth. You trust it. The mirror does its work without fail. It's not moody. It is ready always to do its job.

A mirror is an important object in our life. We cannot avoid the mirror completely. Avoiding a mirror can create embarrassing moments in your life. Apostle James talks about a mirror in his epistle. "Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like." (James 1: 23-24)

How to use a good mirror. (James 1:23)

Word of God is a mirror for us. Are we looking at it and correcting our life? If not, take some time to correct yourself. Often we try to look at our spouse through the mirror of the word of God. We want to correct them because he/she is sitting with us in front of the mirror of the word of God. We want to correct them. We want to correct our children while looking through the word of God. We want to correct our neighbor. We want to correct our pastor. We want to correct our fellow believer. We want to see them through the mirror of the word of God. The harder we try to correct them, the harder they resist. You will be discouraged and tired after many tries.

But the best thing you can do is look yourself through this mirror and correct yourself. It is easier than correcting others. Because you yourself take the decision to correct your life. You may not lover or agree or find it worth correcting yourself by the force of someone else. If you look at yourself in the mirror, you can find the exact fault in your life and the consequence of it. If you take a decision to correct yourself, you can implement it in your life easily. First, you correct yourself. That is why Jesus said, "How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye."

You must take the corrective measure while you are still in front of the mirror. Because James says that "after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like." Corrective measures must be taken immediately. If you think that you would do it later, then there are chances of forgetting what you look like." So take the corrective measures immediately. When you correct yourself, then your language will change. Your appearance will change. Your thinking will change. Your behavior will change dramatically. You will be a new person. There is dust in our face. There is mud in our body. There needs some washing. There need some soaking. There is the need of using detergents and sops. There need some cutting and shaving to make you look good.

When you go through all these cleansing and purifying process, it may cause some pain. But after you have done through, you'll feel great, look great. You will be feeling satisfied. The good news is that when you change yourself, all around you will be changing themselves. Your spouse will change himself/herself. Your children will change themselves. Your parents will change themselves. Your colleagues will change themselves. Your neighbor will change themselves. You will see changes all around you.

Jesus once said, "You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you" (John 15:3) It means the word of God can purify us. Do you know how it works? When we listen to the word of God, we need to accept it and change ourselves. If we are not changing ourselves, there is no use. We have heard a lot of messages. But we are not making any changes in our life. When you listen to the word of god, you should become more humble, more patient, more helping, more bearing, more praying, more loving, more kind, more obedient
