A Kingdom Mindset Part 2

A Kingdom Mindset Part 2

As Christians we are called to carry Gods Glory, this is the major purpose for our lives.

Isaiah Chapter 60 tells us that this will be realised in this generation like never before.

Isaiah 60:1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

We human beings are made in the image and likeness of God. We were created to be an extension of God in this earth. Because we are sons of God we are the same species as God. Like begets like and God gave birth to sons, we came from His loins, we are His children. As humans and Christians we are called to manifest God in this world.

Our first and prime call is to become like Jesus
Jesus is the express image of God Hb 1:3. He is the fore-runner and example to all who would follow Him. We need to understand that our prime calling is to become like Jesus and manifest Him in this world.

Your second call is to find out how God would have you do this
We cannot fulfil the secondary call until there is at least some tangible evidence that the first call is beginning to take shape within us. We must not get the order wrong. The prime and the secondary are in that order for good reasons; we can only impart what we are. We are called to manifest Jesus to this world and there is a particular way that you are called to do this. The secondary call for some may be to take care of the poor, or the lonely. Some may be called to take care of the aged and incapacitated. Others are called to work with young people. Some are called to be evangelists. Whatever your secondary call is, it incorporates manifesting Jesus to this world. Some are called to be nurses or doctors; many are called to raise Godly Children, a high calling in God. There are many ways in which we can manifest Jesus to this world.

The mandate for our secondary calling is found in Luke 4:18
Luke 4:18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

The call is to go into your world and preach the Gospel. Often, if not mostly, this is done by being light in your sphere of influence whatever that is, where God, fate, or providence has placed you. There you are to carry and manifest Jesus.

Matthew 5:14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Note: This light has to embody good works, these good works are not done in the four walls of the church, they are kingdom attributes manifest to the world. We mostly leave these functions to our government with their humanistic psychologists, and political correctness that borders on madness to do the work that Gods people are supposed to be doing; this is where the kingdom of God is supposed to function, out in the community. Day care centres, drug rehabilitation, pregnant single girl’s agencies, aged care and so on. We are called to be light truth compassion and healing to our communities.  It is the work of the 5 fold ministries to train Gods people to minister out in the communities where they live.

Pentecostals are generally woefully short on good works
My mother was brought up in the Salvation Army; my father was saved under Smith Wigglesworth, we need both of these emphasis. There is very little room for you to minister in the church services. The church services in the early church were for Prayer, Instruction and Worship; ministry was done outside of the church in the world, this is the Kingdom, transforming society. The early church did not come together on a regular basis for church services.

1 Corinthians 14:22Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
23If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

Paul here is giving instruction for what was to happen if the Church came together. The church did not meet on a regular basis as one whole church, they met in homes, and these cells were spread through the community and were centres for ministry into the community where they were located. I am not saying that you should adopt this pattern but you must adopt the principle if the church is to survive the next few years.

Change is happening, the face of the real true church is about to undergo change so profound that we will look back on the old pattern and wonder how we ever survived. A kingdom mindset is needed to embrace this change and move forward into a New Apostolic Reformation that will be in itself a sign and a wonder to the whole world.
