The Power of Truth

We live in a world where communication has reached a level where it is impossible to keep up with what is being communicated to us.  We are told that the sum of knowledge is doubling every 3 years; some estimates put it at every 2 years. We are bombarded daily with what is purported as facts. Our minds are being confronted with information at an alarming rate. Different standards for morality, ethics, and what is considered ok confront us daily.  We can relate somewhat to Pilate when he asked the question “What is truth? John 18:38.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is truth

John 14:6a

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:

Truth is not something that is abstract, conceptual, or theoretical. It is a living force it is a person. Only Jesus knows all truth, and what He speaks is truth and can never be questioned for He is the embodiment of truth. Knowing this ought to bring us to a place of awe as we begin to realize that all truth in every field of life such as science, morality, astrophysics, ethics, medicine, the mystery of the universe etc are embodied in Jesus.

Truth is empowering

Jesus said truth will set you free.

John 8:32

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Truth is a living force, not just the truth as revealed in scripture, all truth is a power, it is living it is a light far greater than you can imagine, when you walk in truth you walk in light.

John 3:21a

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light.

The more you walk in truth the more you walk in light and the more you are clothed with light which has the power to set you free. Lies clothes you in darkness and deception, and this power of darkness can enslave you in confusion, doubt and fear.  What you clothe yourself in you will become.

Truth is a power it has substance

Truth emanates light and color which can be discerned in the spirit realm, when a person speaks truth a power is released in the form of energy. Those who teach doctrine that is not the truth emanate darkness and confusion and when received by the hearer that darkness darkens areas of the mind. Likewise when truth is heard and received it brings light to areas of the mind renewing the mind. When we receive a word for the Lord, a rhema word, it brings light which has the power to change you imparting faith which also is a substance.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith has its basis in truth, the spoken word of God.

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When we speak the truth we un-harness the power of God and it flows from you a light and substance. When you speak of the reality of Jesus He is manifest. What you speak will manifest, because truth and deception are not a concept they both are a power. We are told that out of the heart the mouth speaks, what is in our heart will come out of our mouth and will be manifest. Have you ever noticed when you begin to speak about demons they show up? Your words produce a power opening a channel for these demons to flow in. You must never take lightly the power of your words. When your words become truth and love you manifest the kingdom of heaven in this earth.

Romans 10:8

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

We are called to manifest the Kingdom of God in this earth

The bible tells us that the Kingdom of God is within us.

Luke 17:21

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

In one sense we carry the Kingdom of God around with us, this is so because we are told that we are one spirit with the Lord;

1 Corinthians 6:17

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

You see Jesus is the Kingdom, when Jesus walked this earth He brought the Kingdom to earth; he now lives in you and you are called to manifest the Kingdom of God here on this earth, we are called to manifest truth.

John 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Truth spoken in love releases awesome power

When you become heavenly minded you will begin to manifest the truth, when the realm of the kingdom becomes more real to you than your earthly realm you will manifest the Kingdom on this earth.

Colossians 3:1	If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2	Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. When truth is coupled with love the power that is released through you when you speak is beyond your imagination, the Kingdom of God is manifest.
