Secrets of the Kingdom Part 28 There is a Sound of Rain

Secrets of the Kingdom Part 28
There is a Sound of Rain

1 Kings 18:41And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.
44And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand.

There is no doubt that there is a sound of revival in the air
There is the same sound across the world today in many Christian circles, it the sound of the abundance of rain. Many are becoming aware that something is up; God is about to do something new, profound change is on the horizon.

Revival is just that: It is a reviving of God’s people
The reviving of something that is dying or is dead, it is not the harvest it is the reviving of God’s people the church, it is the inrush of the H/S into a body that threatens to become a corpse. In revival Christians are suddenly aroused from sleep by a new and overwhelming awareness of the reality of spiritual things. They are like sleepers shaken awake.

Duncan Campbell who was at the forefront of the revival Hebrides said this; Revival is a people saturated with God

The first stage of revival is always to revive God’s people.
The results of revival are that which follows this reviving process. Let look at some of these results.

The reality of God
Both the New Testament and history affirm this Phenomenon; during revival God becomes intensely real to His people. Most Christians Know about God, but in revival God becomes intensely real. Philippians 3:10 become s a reality.
Philippians 3:10That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
John 17:3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Jesus becomes intensely real
John 14:21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

With this reality of Jesus people fall in Love with Him like never before. In a Sociological survey conducted among visitors to the Toronto move of God found that 89% said I am more in love with Jesus now than I have ever been in my entire life: Have you ever wondered what kept many of the O/T people going, along with all the martyrs through history? JESUS WAS DYNAMICALLY REAL TO THEM.

A new zeal to serve God is kindled.
The word of God says, the people who know there God will display strength and take action Dan 11:32 these are the kind of Men and women we need today. When Jesus becomes this real to people they want to serve Him. Great Vision is birthed in their hearts. As a result of revival, insignificant men and women, many of them slaves, changed the world for good.

C.T.Stud.  Was a Cambridge student and famous English cricketer, he was an heir to a huge family fortune  but revival changed him forever, caught up in a revival in England. He turned his back on the huge fortune and served the Lord in China, India, Africa where he died. His Motto which is still the Motto of many missionary societies today; If Jesus Christ be God, and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great to make for Him

Values changed: Most of those caught up in genuine revivals had their values changed forever. They see the kingdom of God as everything, their outlook on life changes radically from the secular to the spiritual, and their priorities are drastically rearranged.

Count Zinzandorf: Began to seek the Lord in His castle in 1700, and in 1727  Revival broke out among the Moravians in Europe. The result of this revival was an amazing surge of missionary activity. This was 50 years before what we call the modern missionary movement. This small church of 20 people birth more missionaries than the whole of the evangelical church over 200 years. Over 100 missionaries went out from one small village alone. 1 in 60 became a Missionary. The rest of Christianity was producing 1 in 5000.  They produced people who had zeal to serve God no matter what the cost. Some of these Moravian missionaries sold themselves into slavery in order to reach slaves in America and West Indies. The Moravians started a 24  hour prayer meeting for their missionaries that continued for 100 years.

Johns Wesley was profoundly influenced by the Moravians. In one of their meetings in 1738, he said I felt I did trust in Christ alone for salvation. I had an experience with the H/S that totally changed my life. About three in the morning as we were praying, the power of God came mightily upon us. Many cried out with joy others fell to the ground we all were totally changed God Had come to us.
After that John Wesley rode around England for 50 years preaching the Gospel covered 250,000 miles on horse-back leading countless thousands to the Lord. He was still Itinerating on horse back at the age of 88.

William Carey a pastor and shoemaker moved by the Moravian revival. Could not get the Heathen out of his mind after reading about Capt Cooks voyages, he made a globe out of spare pieces of leather to help him pray for them. His impact on Missions is now History

John Geddes Also influenced. By the Moravians went as a missionary to South Sea Islands. You can find a plaque in the island group he served God in, it reads
When he came here there were no Christians; when he left there were no heathens.

Revival produces great missionary Zeal and a burden for the lost.
Revival produces people that see spiritual realities as the real world. And the material world no longer has power over them, when the Spirit comes in power He imparts   vision and those people are never the same again.
Acts 2:41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.
Acts 4:4Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
Acts 6:7And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

The End-Time Ingatherings
Leviticus 23:39Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gatheredin the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: TABERNCLES
Exodus 23:16And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours,(PENTECOST) which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, [which is] in the end of the year, (TABERNACLES) when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

Pentecost and the early church produced a moderate harvest; it was the First fruits.

The end-time harvests comes during the feast of tabernacles at the End -Times

The bible makes it clear that Jesus is coming for a powerful victorious church, a harvest Bride.

The Lord is waiting for this final harvest
James 5:7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

There is the sound of abundance of rain
What is now on the horizon will eclipse everything that has gone before; the Lord has reserved the best wine for this generation. God in his wisdom had reserved the greatest out pourings of the Holy Spirit that will result in the greatest harvests ever being reaped in the history of the church, at a time when the population of planet earth is at its greatest ever.

1 Kings 18:44And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand.
45And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain.
Joel 2:23Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

God Bless youN Johnson © July 6th  2007
