Hope the Need of the Hour. Part 2

Hope the need of the hour.  Part 2

I Samuel 30:18And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.
19And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any [thing] that they had taken to them: David recovered all.
We have seen the life and times of David is a prophetic picture of what God is doing today. This is the David generation who are on their way to Zion, the manifest presence and Glory of God and an open heaven. We are now coming to Mount Zion.  And the conflict that King David was caught up in is mirrored in the western church of today. The setting unfolds towards the end of Saul’s life. David had been anointed King by Samuel, but Saul was still alive and very much in charge of things. The writing was on the wall for the house of Saul and the writing is on the wall for the House of Saul today. The church has to move on.
The house of Saul Characterised by Pride, Jealousy, Religion, Control and Competition, he was a man of the flesh. The anointing had waned and was lifting off the house of Saul but the war between the two was long.
II Samuel 3:1Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
Two kinds of churches, two kinds of leaders, and two groups are featured in this conflict.
One group followed a leadership who had a heart after God the other group followed a man of the flesh. This story is about how God had to sift the wheat from the chaff in order to bring in a new day, a day which was prophetic of the days in which we now live.
Recently we have seen the election of a new President of the USA which has alarmed and dismayed many Christians. The New President made clear many of his polices and intentions before the election took place, his intent to legalise abortion and same sex marriages was made very clear, yet despite this, many Christians voted for him. This divided the Evangelical and Charismatic church in the USA into two camps even tho this may not as evident. We need to understand the real ramifications of this. When you vote for a person you endorse the values and intents of that person which means those who voted for the current President of the USA voted for and endorsed his policies including abortion or murder and same sex marriages. No matter which way you look at this you cannot change the reality of it. It is hard very hard to understand how Christians could vote for abortion and many of the other policies of this President, yet it is now understood that it was the Christian vote that helped bring this man to power.
The church on trial
Many asked me asking me how God could allow this to happen. They said we prayed fasted and sought God to give us a Godly President, why did this happen? We need to understand that the average US citizen was not on trial here, the church was on trial. You cannot expect ungodly people to vote righteously, but you would think that Christians would. Most Christians who are in touch with what God is saying and intending to do are aware that we are on the brink of a great new move of God, a revival that will surpass all previous revivals, however God cannot do this until first there is a sifting in the church. You say but God pours out His spirit to clean up the church, the truth is God pours out His spirit on the hungry sincere Christians not the lukewarm. God is not about to fill the churches with His precious harvest of those who are building their own kingdoms. No the church was on trial here and this is not just the USA church it includes the church in Western Nations around the world. This sifting of the churches and their leaders is part of the plan of God. God is housecleaning before he brings in a new move of the Spirit. We are remanded of Joseph whose brethren sold him out, but God had a plan.
Genesis 50:19And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
20But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
21Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
Why do the righteous suffer?
This is an age old question and there is no short answer to it. One thing we do know is that the righteous do suffer at the hands of others. Husbands make bad decisions and the wife and children suffer this is also true of wives. However we must also believe that all things work together for good to them who love God and a called according to His purposes, Romans 8:28. There is a story in Joshua Chapter 7 about a man who caused the death of thirteen innocent people and also the death of his wife and children, His name was Achan. This one man’s sin caused untold suffering and a humiliating defeat by Israel’s enemy, so much so they called the place the valley of Achor, which means the valley of trouble.
Many Christians felt after the US elections that many other Christians had caused real pain and an unliveable set back for the Nation and Gods purposes and a sense of hopelessness settled over many, it was like their valley of Achor.  However we need to see the bigger picture.
THE LORD SAYS TO YOU
Hosea 2:14Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
15And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
The valley of Achor is a door of hope
When the sifting is over change will come Gods purposes will be fulfilled, the harvest will be reaped revival will sweep our lands. The house of David will prevail and God will bring the true church to Mount Zion the place where the Ark was seen by all and the Glory of the Lord covered the land. In the midst of the conflict between David and Saul Davis suffered real loss.
1 Samuel 30:1And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
2And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
3So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
4Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.
This was a great tragedy and the people were about to stone David, so David enquired of the Lord and God showed him His plan.
1 Samuel 30:8And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
18And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.
19And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any [thing] that they had taken to them: David recovered all.
There will be no loss in this seeming disaster of the US election. The true church will recover all and go on into the greatest revival the world has ever seen.
Hosea 2:15And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope:
The valley of Achor became a doorway of hope, when God has finished his sifting separating those who qualify to be part of this coming revival we will see the glory of the Lord revealed like never before.
Blessings
