Part 24 Begin to Posess I have begun to give - begin to possess

Part 24 Begin to Posess
I have begun to give -  begin to possess   Deuteronomy 2:31
Joshua 1:10Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
11Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
In last weeks prophetic bulletin we looked at the coming end of an era as a whole generation comes to an end.
We have come to the end of a 40 year period which dates from the six day war between Israel and the Arab States of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria in June 6th 1967
The prophetic significance of this war is profound as Israel retook the City of Jerusalemwhich had been lost to them for almost 2000 years.
Times and seasons
Times and seasons a very important in connection with the ways and purposes of God. God has set day’s week’s years etc as a way of portioning out the time we have this side of eternity. Time actually prevents everything happening at once. God actually sees everything from the perspective of eternity but we as yet cannot. We need to understand how God allocates time, provision, and grace according to the various seasons we are in; trying to move into or operate in something where there has not been provision allocated for it brings frustration and disillusionment as we try in our own strength to accomplish something out of time and season.
When Israel came to the point where the time had come for them to cross the river Jordanand enter the Promised Land they faltered because of fear and unbelief, this cost them another 38 years in the wilderness. Missing a season in God can be very costly.
Hebrews 3:17But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Hebrews 4:1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
The Apostle Paul clearly used this experience of the Nation of Israel as a parallel to the End-Time church, the period we are now in. it is interesting that Paul described this experience of entering the promised land as “entering into rest”  Hebrews 4: 3-6.
Allocated Grace and Provision
Gods Word tell us that everything we need to fulfill our call and destiny this side of eternity was allocated to us before this world was formed.
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began
Everything we need to fulfill our destiny was given to us or set aside for us before the world began. However this grace and provision is allocated to us according to times and seasons. This allocation of resources, gifts, grace, and provision is allocated according to times and seasons and according to personal inner growth. God must be able to trust us with what He wants to give us. We hear a lot of talk about wealth coming to the church in these end times, and this is true! However great damage can be done by Christians who come into large amounts of money and assets; damage both to themselves and others.  God’s people have given to many so called Christian endeavors and causes that God was not in.  Character development is supposed to be developed along with and within the times and seasons that God has allocated for us. The problem with Israel was that they had not grown up before they reached the borders of the Promised Land. It is written that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit to the others; I trust you are such a one as these.
Rest a mark of maturity
It is of real significance that the Apostle Paul connected entering the Promised Land with coming into rest.
Hebrews 4:3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Knowing that God has allocated everything that we need to enter into and be successful in the next season will bring us into rest. The grace we need, the gifts we need, the finance we need all have been allocated to you before the world began and is available for this new season. Knowing that the Lord will enable us and equip us to fulfill the next season in our lives will help bring us into this rest.
Hebrews 4:9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his ownworks, as God did from his.
The Paradox
The exercising of faith and human effort appear to be contradictory to resting in God. Paul put it this way:
Hebrews 4:11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
The word Labour if from the Greek word spoudazo:G4704  which means diligent; in earnest; In other words; Let us be diligent to enter into rest by faith.
As the grace and provisions for the last season comes to an end, let us be diligent to take hold by faith the grace and provision needed for this next season. Let us see that a new day is dawning a new season is upon us; a season pregnant with great potential to enter into a new and powerful era in God. If you can see it you can appropriate it by faith and enter in.
Hebrews 4:16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The church in the wilderness has healing prophesy the pillar of fire etc but they were still in a wilderness; greater things lie ahead of us don’t let fear and unbelief keep you out from your promised land.
There was no real harvest in the wilderness
It is significant that there were no harvests in the wilderness; there was manna but no harvests. It was only as they crossed Jordan and entered into rest in the Promised Land that they were able to reap harvests.
Let us appropriate, move into by faith this new season and with diligence obtain the promises of this new era.
Deuteronomy 2:31And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land.
