Matthew 13:47 | Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: |
48 | Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. |
49 | So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, |
The ostrich culture
Matthew 24:7 | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. |
14 | And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. |
15 | When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) |
16 | Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: |
17 | Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: |
18 | Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. |
19 | And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! |
20 | But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: |
21 | For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. |
22 | And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. |
At evening time it shall be light
Zechariah 14:7 | But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. |
The greatest revival will occur at a time when the greatest darkness covers the earth.
We must prepare for two harvests, that of evil and good, although we do not focus on the darkness we must not hide our heads in the sand pretending that it won’t happen.
God said everything that can be shaken will be shaken the kingdoms of men will fall but the Kingdom of God we stand forever. Hebrews 12:26-28. We have recently seen again how fragile the economic systems of the world are. The stock market acts as a thermometer monitoring the temperature of the economy. The stock market crash in 1987 was soon forgotten as the world continued on its path of destruction.
Roger Smith, the Chairman of General Motors, stated when asked about the turmoil caused by the 1987 crash. “We didn’t just have a tummy ache here in our country; we had a genuine, certified heart attack! And if we don’t recognize it as a heart attack and get on a diet and start doing exercises. We could have another one and it could be terminal”. Here we are in 2008 and nothing has changed the economy is tottering on the brink of a major catastrophe again. We need to remember that the great stock market crash of 1929 appeared to begin to slowly recover for several years until the underlying affects of the 1929 crash surfaced three years later in the form of the great depression.
We have heard it all before
That’s what the people said in the days of Noah! Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Matthew 24:39 | And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |
Isaiah 60:1 | Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. |
2 | For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. |
3 | And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. |
4 | Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. |
5 | Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. |
