The Transformed life - A prophetic Encounter Part 1

The Transformed life - A prophetic Encounter Part 1

On the 26th of January 2008 while praying I became aware of what seemed to be a large mixing bowl the kind you would find in a kitchen. “The right ingredients are needed in order to bake the right cake” I turned to see who had spoken and was surprised to see the Lord, He continued, “I have food to give you that will sustain you, heal you. The bread I give you, if you eat of it you will live forever. I am the bread of Life and all that I am is available to you” At this point many scriptures poured through my mind, scriptures I had read and even studied seemed to take on new life and meaning, it was one of those moments when everything seemed clear and defined.

Eating with the Lord
Fellowship with the Lord is, and should always be our lifelong goal; it must be the most important thing in our lives. Often the scriptures equate eating together with fellowshipping together. The connection between eating together and fellowshipping is interesting, Jesus said this.

John 6:53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever.

Jesus said this is the bread that came down from heaven, and if we eat this bread we will have a kind of life in us that will sustain us forever. Jesus went on to say if we eat His flesh and blood, He the Lord will dwell within us, in other words something of His eternal substance will be imparted to us that will cause divine life to take hold within us.
Jesus went on to say; just as I live by the Father even so if you eat of this bread you will live by Me or with my life.

1 Kings 19:5And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
6And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
8And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

In this incident the prophet walked for forty days and nights on the strength of a small cake that and Angel had made for him. This Old Testament incident pointed to Jesus the bread which came down from heaven. Jesus on another occasion said this.

John 6:63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

This process of eating the words of Jesus has the power to sustain and quicken us in a way that we have had very little understanding of. As we fellowship with the Lord in a conscious awareness of His presence, His manifest presence, our inner man our spirit is fed, receives life. When this process becomes a daily occurrence our spirit starts to be enlarged and becomes full of the Life of God which in turn begins to overlap into our soul and physical body. This living word and awesome presence is sufficient to keep us alive forever if we daily partake of it. Enoch would still be alive today if the Lord had not taken him home through translation.

Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Growing in Stature
Luke 2:52And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

This word stature does not mean just a physical growth, it has the meaning of an inner growth, that of spiritual development of the inner man, ones spirit. This process is supposed to be a daily thing. Just as we need natural food to sustain us and cause physical growth even more so we need this spiritual food on a daily basis in order to keep us spiritually alive. This process is supposed to continue causing us reach the place described in Ephesians 4:13

Ephesians 4:13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Most Christians unfortunately go for months without eating spiritually by being in the manifest presence of the Lord and having a conversation with Him, hearing His words which a spirit and life. Knowing Him is the only thing that matters; it is out of this that what we call ministry flows. We can only give what we are, what we walk in, and this only comes by knowing Him walking with Him fellowshipping with him on a daily basis. People mostly come to church to get something; this is because their inner man is starving, your inner personal walk with the Lord cannot be substituted with church services. Learning to walk with the Lord must become our main purpose in life.

As we add the presence of the Lord to hearing His voice we are adding to the mix which eventually along with other ingredients  will transform us into a perfect man in the image of Jesus while still here in the flesh on this earth.
