Joseph Ministries Part 4 Prophetic Declarations for Joseph Ministries Psalms 105:16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread. 17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: 18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: 19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. 20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. 21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: 22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. These scriptures out line the needed preparations in the lives of true Joseph ministries The call came with the dream that God gave Joseph Genesis 37. The preparation for the call, Sold as a slave, Imprisoned. Commissioning 14 years later. Genesis 41:46 Between the call and the commission were 14 years of preparation. Many mistake the call for the commission, but between the call and the commissioning is a time of testing and qualifying for the call. Prophetic Declarations When Jacob, Joseph’s father was dying, he prophesied over his sons, this was a common practice with the patriarchs, and these prophetic words and blessings over them became part of their inheritance, albeit in prophetic form. Genesis 48:1 And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. 2 And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed. 3 And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, 4 And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession. Jacob rehearses all that God had said to him and the blessing promised to him and his sons Then Jacob speaks about Josephs two sons and does an unusual thing He adopts Joseph’s two sons. Genesis 48:5 And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine;as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. 6 And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance. Now Jacob already had twelve sons, why adopt two more? This was done so that Joseph could have a double portion. There would be two tribes under Josephs name as part of the twelve tribes of Israel, namely Ephraim and Manasseh. This meant that there would be two allocations of the Promised Land given to Joseph’s tribe. There was no a tribe called Joseph. Now let’s go back to deathbed scene Genesis 48:21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers. 22 Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow. Jacob now begins to tell them what will happen in the end-times, our day, remember this was spoken over 4000 years ago. Genesis 49:1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Jacob points to Asher and says this: Genesis 49:3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: 4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. NOT GOOD Jacob continues to prophesy over his sons, He gets down to Asher and says this. Genesis 49:20 Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties. What kind of a prophecy is that?  Fat bread and royal dainties! I can just imagine Asher saying, wait a minute dad, say that again! The word Fat in the Hebrew is the word for oil. The words Royal Dainties in the Hebrew is lit, “Substance fit for Kings”. So what is Asher getting? Oil a Substance fit for Kings. It all seems a bit airy fairy. Eventually Jacob comes to Joseph and says this Genesis 49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: 23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: 24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) 25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, (and)  blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: 26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren. I can imagine Joseph saying, wait a minute dad, these blessings of the deep; how deep are they, how do we get them out? Can’t you make it blessing of the shallow that lieth on top? Nope. It is as it is. Ok, Dad where are we going to find these blessings?  Well, they are going to be found on your head, in fact on the crown of your head. I can just imagine Joseph turning to Ruben and saying, pardon me Rueben but can you see anything on the top of my head?  Nope there in definitely nothing on your head! Remember these are blessings for the end-time Josephs Genesis 49:1 Jacob dies, Joseph dies, and time goes by until many years later Moses is born lives his life and now he too is dying and it’s his turn to prophesy Deuteronomy 32:7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. Remember what God has said in the past Deuteronomy 32:8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. 9 For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. A Nations Inheritance is Spiritual Blessings and Natural Resources Deuteronomy 32:13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; Now they all new what olive oil was, but what kind of oil do you suck out of the rocks? And how do you suck honey out of a rock? It is interesting to note; that in 1850 the first oil was taken out of shale, flinty rock. And a common name for oil today is called “Earth Honey” and Libyan oil is called “Sweet Honey” as it is considered one of the best oils in the world. Now Moses prophesies about Joseph:  Deuteronomy 33:13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, 15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. All of these blessings for the end-time Joseph ministries. These ancient prophesies are to be fulfilled in our day. This is the same word that Jacob gave, this time with more detail. And there is more: Deuteronomy 33:19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand. Suck the abundance of the sea hidden in the sand? They did not have a word for pump, but they understood suck, as they all had babies. Oil is now being pumped from the sea under the sand. Now we come to Asher, remember the kid with the fat bread and royal dainties prophesy. Oil fit for kings. Deuteronomy 33:24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. Asher will dip his foot in this oil and it will be on the head of Joseph. Sounds like and Indiana Jones mystery movie. A map of the land allocations to Israel Do you see a profile of Josephs Head? The oil is on Josephs head; see Asher dipping his foot in it Note the size of the land allocated to Joseph i.e. Manasseh and Ephraim Many believe that Israel will find oil on the head of Joseph, however be that as it may we are more concerned here with the Joseph ministries Josephs Inheritance was in the wealth of the natural resources especially Oil, and gold found in the hills, and agricultural recourses And spiritual blessings were also given to Joseph, giftings and anointings, oil on the head of Joseph. See Deuteronomy 33:13-16 There is an anointing for those who are called to be Josephs in these last days. An anointing that will bring a transfer of wealth into the Kingdom of God in order to fulfill the roll of these Joseph ministries Joseph has a double portion of resources in order to do what he is called to do.
