Your vision for the coming year

Your vision for the coming year
Ephesians 1:18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may knowwhat is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
If you were to die today, would you still be able to see and hear?
The answer of course is yes. Even though you would no longer have physical eyes and ears you would still be able to see and hear.
This highlights the fact that you have two sets of eyes and ears; The Apostle Paul refers to this as seeing with the eyes of your understanding Greek dianoia:  which means the eyes of your heart, it also refers to the imagination
The Apostle Paul also put it this way
2 Corrinthians 4:18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
We inhabit two worlds at the same time
John 3:13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Jesus was both in heaven and earth at the same time; you say how can this be?
We tend to think of heaven as a place off somewhere in the universe and this has some merit, however we need to think of heaven as another realm, the realm of spirit.
Jesus clearly said the kingdom of heaven is within you
Luke 17:20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
The Apostle Paul also said that we have been moved into the Kingdom of God realm.
Colossians 1:13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son:
You have been translated into the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is a Spiritual Kingdom.
John 8:23And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Your Spirit has entered the Kingdom of God.
Luke 17:21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
There is another world all around you, that you can only be seen with the eyes of the heart
It is Gods will that you become familiar with His world, the world that He lives in.
Where your heart is determines where you dwell. Your focus in life determines your habitation.
Matthew 6:21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Where the focus of your heart is determines where you are living. You are either earthly minded or heavenly minded
I Corinthians 15:48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
It takes faith to walk in the spirit realm because it is contrary to all of our natural senses
Without faith you cannot walk with God, we walk by faith and not by our natural sight in this physical world.
Unbelief is the darkroom where you develop your negatives. It is where your heart is that reflects where you in your present personal world
As we draw to the close of another year it is good to reaffirm the promises God has given you, and to seek the Lord for further vision and understanding for your life in the coming year. Take some time out and let God speak to you about your direction and focus for the coming year. It is important that the vision of your heart and the words of your mouth agree. This is a time of real change, a time when new mandates can be imparted. Many prophetic timelines are intersecting at this time and we need to seek the Lord for fresh insight in order to know Gods purposes for us more clearly for the days that lie ahead.
Walking with clarity in the spirit is becoming more essential than ever before; we cannot blindly walk though another year.
Repositioning of lives is occurring as this is critical in order to be in the right place at the right time for the coming year. Many through death are being taken home at this time, this is not necessarily a negative, it is part of the strategy and timing of God as He works to have all things in place for the next move of God.
Spiritual Discernment
It is becoming more and more critical that we become “spiritual”  spiritual discernment requires that we walk in the realm of the spirit by faith, having our spiritual senses awakened in order to perceive and live more fully in the realm of God, walking with Jesus in the spirit is required of us in order to survive the days ahead. Our focus must be not on this world but on the heavenly realm, we must dwell in the secret place of the most high.
Hebrews 5:14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
2 Corrinthians 4:18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal
True perspective can only come as we dwell in Gods realm, hearing His views, knowing His voice, walking in His ways. The eyes of your heart must be single as we seek first the Kingdom of God

Philemon 3:20For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:  The word conversation hear is the Greek word 4175. politeuma,
It has the meaning if citizenship or the place where we live.
If we live in the Kingdom of God our conversation will reflect it.  The words of your mouth must agree with the vision of your heart and where your heart is, is where you dwell.
Matthew 6:21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
God Bless youJames N Johnson © December 2005
