The Gospel of the kingdom Part 2
The gospel we hear preached today, for the most part is basically a fire insurance policy cover to avoid going to hell. However the gospel Jesus preached was much more than that, it was the Gospel of the kingdom.
Jesus constantly emphasized the coming Kingdom of God. Today much of what we here is what we can get out of the Gospel, Peace Joy, Provision, Healing, Prosperity etc. But Jesus said "take up your cross and follow me" in order to find life you have to loose your life, unless a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die it abideth alone.
The Kingdom of God is mentioned 68 times in the New Testament
Often the gospel is presented in reverse, come to Jesus and receive all of these blessing. But Jesus said Seek FIRST the Kingdom God and all these other things will be added.
Unless you forsake all you cannot be my disciple
As Jim Elliot said, "he is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot loose".
In a prophetic experience in 1997 I found myself in heaven observing the excitement and fervent preparation in anticipation of the return of Jesus to set up His kingdom on earth, all of heaven was alive with the expectation of this coming event, the angels were keyed in and working towards the momentous occasion. Why aren't we the church living in anticipation of this event?
It is because our focus is wrong, if we are honest most of us live for the now with little thought to the future life we have in God.
The spiritual state we are in when we die will determine our position in the coming Kingdom of God on earth. How much you have become i.e. love, will be the primary factor in determining our place in the Kingdom of God.
What will those who enter into the Millennium Reign of Christ do during those 1000 years?
The Parable of the Talents
In Luke 19 we are given a prophetic illustration of roles some will play in the coming literal Kingdom of God on earth. This parable illustrates how that each of us have been given special abilities and gifts by the grace of God, how these gifts were used was the determining factor in the rewards each would receive.
The rewards were positions of authority in the coming Kingdom of God in the earth.
This clearly illustrates the importance of how we live our lives here and now.
When Jesus sets up His literal kingdom in this earth, how is this kingdom going to be run. It will be run with Jesus as the head and his blood washed overcoming people under Him in various positions of Authority.
When this earth finally comes into rest on the 7th day, the curse over the earth will finally be lifted and the inauguration of a new and different world will be ushered in.
As this present age comes to a close, God will have a people prepared to take over the reigns of government of this earth, a people who qualify to reign with the lord.
The true New Age is about to dawn an age of peace and equity will prevail, an age when all of nature will be in harmony.
Nature will be changed radically as the earth returns to its Eden-like origins
The whole of creation is in travail waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God Romans 8-22
The earth will come into rest, storms will cease and a perfect climate will prevail worldwide. There will be no more earthquakes as the earth releases its tension in one great and final cataclysmic earthquake.
With
one great and final earthquake, God will shake down all that is
decadent in this word, leveling the cities in order to build a brand new
world.
Who will be the architects and builders and supervisors in the rebuilding of a new world? Who else but Gods people!
God needs many supervisors trained and ready to build a new world.
These people will at times be taken to heaven for training and preparation, access between heaven and earth during the millennium will be very common. I have seen some of the architecture in heaven and nothing on this earth can compare to it.
Many will be needed to supervise the landscaping of the new cities. Rulers will be needed in every level of God's government on earth.
That is why now we must begin to gain a working knowledge and experience in the Ways of the Lord. We have to be taught trained and prepared.
Godly Qualities
The qualities we must develop are the qualities of God such as:
All of the trials, success and failures, disappointments and setbacks and how we respond to them in this life are part of the training.
You see; it's not so much in what we have done or accomplished in this life so much as what we have become, can the Lord see His image in us?
As we come to the end of the 6th day, the six thousand years from Adam we come to a climax of the ages, when His kingdom comes in earth as it is in heaven.
When the thousand years come to a close and the heavenly city descends to earth, God's major purposes are just beginning.
As
the New Jerusalem comes down to earth, earth becomes the capital of the
universe and Gods people after gaining 1000 years of experience as
ruling and supervising Gods Kingdome on earth, now stand poised to
extend His kingdom out into the universe, worlds with end.
All of the trials, pressures, disappointments, injustices, will be worth it all

- Faithfulness
