Preparation for the Harvest

Ecclesiastes 3:1	To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Harvest time comes when the fruit or grain is ripe, it then has to be harvested,If it is not the harvest can be lost.

Jeremiah 8:20

The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. If the church does not pick the harvest when it is time, Satan will, false cults and the new age movement will.

Our first calling is to reproduce.

Genesis 1:28	And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, andmultiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Colossians 1:10	That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

I was born in an English village with corn or wheat fields all around and one thing I noticed was this; the wheat needed sunshine but no rain to ripen it, in other words there had to be a dry season to get the wheat ready for harvest. Over recent years we have seen great spiritual harvests reaped in many developing nations, but we have seen very little happening in the western world. The western world has been in a relatively dry season, however that is about to change.  The world is being prepared for harvest. In climate of terrorism, lawlessness, rioting and uncertainty God is allowing the scene to be set for harvest time.

Church history clearly testifies to the fact that before spiritual harvests begin, a great spiritual hunger is kindled in many believers.

Psalms 63:1	O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2	To see thy power and thy glory, so [as] I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Such a hunger is stimulated within many believers

The context of these scriptures is the Sanctuary, the Tabernacle of Moses.

The outer court speaks of the Body the fleshThe Holy Place speaks of the SoulThe Holiest of all speaks of the Spirit

LONGING TAKES YOU INTO OUTER COURTTHIRSTING INTO THE HOLY PLACESEEKING INTO THE HOLIEST OF ALL

Psalms 42:7

Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

When we see a longing for God; a thirst for Him, when we see a passion for the harvest God is prepping pepole for the operation of the Holy Spirit in which purification comes by fire, this is the beginning stage of the harvest, this is necessary because like produces like and God wants you to produce a harvest of purity in the lives of new believers.

One of the most fundamental truths of harvest time is that like produces like. Apple trees produce apple trees, Kangaroo’s produce Kangaroo’s. The scary thing is this, the people you lead to the Lord and disciple will turn out just like you.

Genesis 1:28

Jesus was the firstborn of many that were to turn out Just like Him

Romans 8:29

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

What you sow into a person’s life will reproduce. The unerring law of sowing and reaping is a one of the most fundamental laws of the universe.

Many revivals in the past have been on the level of the Outer Court and the fruit corresponded to that spiritual level, others were in the Holy Place with its corresponding level of spirituality and purity. Only a few revivals have been at the level of the Holiest of all; this is about to change. This is why the preparation for the next harvest requires much more, the bar has been lifted, the level of heart purity and motives, the level of personal holiness that God is requiring is very high and only a baptism of fire can prepare of for this next great ingathering of the harvest.

We are on the brink of a new great move of God that will sweep the western world like a prairie fire, God is about to rise again and when He does we will see the enemies of secularism, humanism,  fall and God will raise up a new standard of righteousness in the land.

Psalms 68:1	Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
68:2	As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3	But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
