The Ark is returning Part 4 Understanding Music and the return of the Ark

The Ark is returning Part 4
Understanding Music and the return of the Ark
The scriptures significantly emphasize the importance of music in many aspects of our walk with God. This is notably evident in the return of the Ark.
David brought up the Ark with singing, music, dancing, and worship.
1 Chronicals 15:15 And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
16 And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
Music is a universal language that captures the hearts of all human beings and Satan knows how to use it as spiritual tool enslaving millions of people, conversely God also knows how to use it in His kingdom.
Psalms 100:1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
We see in 1 Sam 16:23 that an evil spirit left when music was played, David could use music to change the atmosphere.
1 Samual 16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
All sound is a vibration; it is energy that is transmitted as sound. That is why if you put your hand on a loudspeaker you can feel the vibrations. Now there are good vibrations and there are bad vibrations, and changing the words of a song does not change the vibration of the music. It is important to recognize this.
We have to be very discerning when it comes to music it is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. Music can very quickly create an atmosphere. As I write this I am playing background music on my computer very quietly, and it is secular music, (I mention this to try and get rid of some of those religious spirits) There is some very beautiful music out there in the secular world as well as really ugly music. I play music that brings rest and peace when I am writing, played very softy with no words to the music. Words will take your mind off track when you are writing or meditating.
There is a great need for Christian music that has no lyrics, just music.
Often in our worship services the Words do not match the Music, the words must agree with the music, or the music with the words. When there is no agreement between words and music you have confusion or a mix of different vibrations.
If you are singing a song that has worshipful words and the music is that of praise with an upbeat YOU CANNOT WORSHIP.
A good example of this is the song Amazing Grace, the words and the music match, and the song has stood the test of time.  Worship songs need worship words and music. Praise, joyful songs need words and music that match.
I have noticed that the Holy Spirit uses very simple songs, simple in thought and music. Quite often we have a worship team on the platform that has rehearsed some often complex songs both in words and music which took them quite some time to master, and then they try to lead the congregation in singing them. The words and the music are to complex for the average person to follow so we end up with the worship or praise being performed by the worship team, and the congregation is left behind.
The emotions have to be able to keep up with the song and if the praise and worship become too complicated musically and in the lyrics, the emotions are left behind defeating the purpose.
Music creates mood and the mood must match the purpose of the music, i.e. warfare, worship, praise, meditation etc.
Music can captivate and enslave a person
The 60s saw a remarkable phenomenon emerge along with the drug culture and sexual permissiveness. The advent of Rock Music totally captivated the hearts and minds of the youth of the western world. The music had the affect of propagating drugs rebellion immorality and violence. I was very much caught up in a move of God in the early 70s that saw over a thousand of these young people come to the Lord.
All these young people were badly demonized and had to be set free. We found that anything associated with that culture had to go. For instance we found a common mark of that culture was long hair, the guys all had very long hair. This feature i.e. the long hair was a very powerful symbol of rebellion against society. We found that a person would not get delivered until his hair was cut shorter; now I can see many eyebrows raising as a write this. Please hear me out; we found that to renounce the culture was not enough to bring deliverance, the hair had to be cut, as soon as we cut their hair demons would cone screaming out of them, The issue was that the hair style was a symbol of a demonic culture.
The hard rock culture had to be dealt with in a similar way by destroying the hard rock music records these kids were addicted to.
Leviticus 19:27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
The cutting of the beard and hair in a certain way in these scriptures was forbidden because it mirrored the heathen culture of the nations around them that had practices and customs that were directly related to heathen worship and occultism.
In the 70s it was not a matter of long hair, it was what that style represented. Today long hair in men does not reflect a particular culture that is anti God; therefore there it has no demonic power attached to it.
We found that heavy rock music is addictive
The beat the rhythm and the way it is played are addictive. Study found that the rhythm and beat cut across all human rhythms, such as the rhythm of the heart, lungs, cells, of the body, scientists proved this, and also that it caused up to a 30% loss of strength in these organs. Eventually the body shifted over to this new rhythm building up a false rhythm in the body, once this happed they had to keep feeding this shift and addiction took hold.
Quotes by famous rock musicians
David Bowie: (Quoted from the Rolling Stones magazine Feb.12th 1976)
“Rock music lets in the lower elements and shadows. Rock has always been the Devils music; you can’t convince me that it isn’t. Rock music is dangerous it will destroy you”
Jimi Hendrix: Rock music is a spiritual thing.
Kate Bush:  “Rock music has a message, namely occult involvement, and sexual immorality” She was quoted in the West Australian magazine as saying “I am now aware more than ever of the dark side of life”.
Can rock music be Christianized?  It is not just a matter of the style of the music; it is a matter of the vibrations which that style of music releases. It is a matter of the shift it brings, with addictive ramifications. Ask yourself, does it bring the presence of the Lord or conviction of sin or does it uplift you inspiriting you to purity?
Music creates atmospheres depending upon the chords used, the style and rhythm, our whole being will tune to the mood the music creates, Heart beat, Lungs. Cells of our bodies, God made us that way.
What about the minor key?
While I realize that these subjects can be very controversial, I am just giving you food for thought. Something muse on, to pray about.
Music has it origins in the heart of God Job 38-4-7. The laws of all things originated with God. Physics, Mathematics, Music, By Him Jesus, all things continue to exist.
At the heart of Music is JESUS He holds together all that is good, true, right, and beautiful.
The Triad Cord
Cords have numeric significance.
The triad chord. The 1st 3rd and 5th notes  when played have a bright yet gentle sound
The triad cord speaks of the FATHER  SON and HOLY SPIRIT
Now if you take out the Son Jesus, the 3rd note,  and just play the 1st and the 5th notes together you get the very plaintiff sound of heathen music. If you play this cord in various combinations on the octave you will always get this sound. It sounds very Tibetan or Indian and is the basis for most heathen style music, why is this?
Because using this chord takes Jesus out, the 3rd note of the chord. Heathen religions believe there is a God and a spirit but they take Jesus out of the equation. The New Age movement did the same, removing Jesus.
You can use the Father and the Son the 1st and 3rd chord and the chord sounds good. You can use the Son and the Spirit the 3rd and the 5th notes and it sounds good
But when you take out the Jesus the 3rd note it is not good.
Jesus holds all things together, He is central to all.
Now if you lower the middle note of the chord Jesus by half a tone your get a minor Chord.
Hebrews 2:9 says that Jesus was made a little lower by suffering and death.
After His resurrection He was highly exalted.
It is interesting to note that fallen creation plays in the minor Key, Waterfalls, Birds the wind, the sound that stars make though a radio telescope is in the minor key. It has a sad element to it.
After the horrors of the dark ages the reformation brought in a new day and with it church music changed from the minor Key to the Major Key. Jesus came back into the picture. He was no longer hanging on a Catholic cross He had been resurrected.
The minor key creates a melancholy mood, a blue mood, and most rock music is played in the minor key and a large majority of classical music is played in the minor key. The music of Israel is in the minor key, Jesus does not have His rightful place in Israel.
We have to be careful in the use of the minor key it vibration is lower and sad. It can be used affectively in Spiritual warfare at times, and it can be used successfully to highlight the negatives such as death sorrow loss etc. contrasting with the major themes such as life joy peace, but it must be used carefully
The ark returns with Worship Joy Dancing and Praise, we have to learn to be skillful in these powerful expressions of the heart of Man, We have to learn to create the right mood for the direction we want to take the congregation in during a service.
God Bless you
