Part 14 Anointed Seed

Part 14 Anointed Seed
Mark 14:3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured [it] on his head.
4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
8She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
Jesus was anointed for burial with spikenard
Spikenard is one of the fruit of the Spirit listed in Song of Solomon chap 4 and is symbolic of peace.
Solomon 4:12A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
13Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,
14Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:
Spikenard is the third fruit of the spirit listed here.
This corresponds with the third fruit of the spirit in Eph 4 which is peace.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The best spikenard in Jesus day was imported from India in a sealed alabaster box.  It was a very costly ointment used only on special occasions; the ointment had a special fragrance that filled the whole house.
The disciples considered that the use of this ointment as described in Mark 14 was a great waste; they did not realise that this anointing of Jesus with spikenard was a symbolic anointing related to the death of Jesus.
Jesus knew what this occasion spoke of and was at complete peace about it
Jesus was to be the seed of all seeds that would result in the redemption of countless millions of people, and was at peace concerning this.
John 12:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
9/11 ushered in new era in the earth
Many Christians died when the twin towers were hit; quite a few of those who died were children.  Since then lawlessness has greatly increased thought the earth to a point which is reminiscent of the “Days of Noah”
Genesis 6:3And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man,
5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
11The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Luke 17:26And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Today we see death everywhere; however we should be aware that Jesus spoke of these times, He warned us that this was going to happen and increasingly get worse the closer to the end we come.
Matthew 24:7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
A large amount of the soldiers that have been killed in Iraq were Christians, you say why this waste. We need to look deeper beyond the politics and see from the perspective of God. The battle raging in the Middle East from God’s point of view cannot be seen in terms of political motives it is a spiritual battle between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdome of Satan. It is a battle between the spirit of Babylon and the Kingdom of God.  You may just see death, but God sees life. The radical Islamic movement has murdered myriads of innocent people, however many of those killed were anointed seed. Stories are emerging from the Twin Tower atrocity of many who survived telling about those who were dying were experiencing great supernatural peace; anointed with spikenard. Similar stories are emerging regarding many of the soldiers killed in Iraq.
What the Islamic movements don’t realise that they are causing seed to be sown that will result in an incredible Islamic harvest, even as you read this myriads of Islamic people are coming to the Lord.
Isaiah 30:25And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
Why this waste
Psalms 116:15Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Many saw the death of Jesus as a waste of a good person; God saw it as His master plan; The Apostle Paul was not an old man when he died. Steven was a young man when he died, but he was seed for the harvest of the early church along with many others who died.
There cannot be a harvest before seed is first planted. There is no resurrection life without death.
Jesus wants us to be constantly anointed with spikenard and at peace, not fearing what is happening in the world around us, we cannot be used of God in the days that lie ahead if we fear death.  The Apostle Paul said,” I die daily” he lived his life in pursuit of God and the Kingdom of God.
Romans 14:8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
The Kingdom of God is now poised ready to receive the greatest harvest the church has ever seen, and it is much closer than most Christians think, we will see in the midst of death and destruction a harvest of such magnitude that  that we would not have believed it possible. The prophet Habakkuk saw this day and said:
Habakkuk 1:3 Why dost thou show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
However Habakkuk saw beyond the death and destruction and said this.
Habakkuk 1:5  Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
