The Ark is Returning Part 5
A prophetic InterludeThis period in the history of Israel was a most remarkable time. In the Tabernacle of Moses God was hidden behind a veil in the Holy of Holies. The ordinary Israelite could not go in there, only the High priest and then only on one day in the year, The Day of Atonement. However in the period of David’s Tabernacle, the ark was put into an open tent on Mt Zion fore all to see.
This period was a prophetic window into which we have a glimpse of what God intended for the church. This was a period when God was manifest to all of Israel.
David wrote a lot of psalms around this time, psalms which made reference to this remarkable period. Remember the Ark was placed on Mt Zion.
Psalms 84:7 | They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. |
(They could actual come before God , the manifest presence of God) | |
Psalms 9:11 | Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. |
Psalms 50:2 | Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. |
This period of time was prophetic of the end-time church in the fullness of the Glory of God.
Psalm 102 speaks clearly of the church in Zion at the end of the age
Psalms 102:13 | Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. |
15 | So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. |
16 | When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. |
18 | This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. |
Seeing down through time David saw a day when God would be clearly manifest to the world.
Psalms 102:19 | For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; |
20 | To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; |
21 | To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; |
Psalms 126:1 | When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. |
2 | Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. |
The Prophet Isaiah saw this time and said this
Isaiah 12:6 | Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. |
Joel 2:28 | And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: |
29 | And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. |
30 | And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. |
31 | The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. |
32 | And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. |
Joel 2:23 | Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. |
24 | And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. |
25 | And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. |
Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow we will see the Glory of God
The tabernacle of David has first to be established in us. Jesus is the ark. In the Old Testament the Glory was external in the New Covenant the Gory is to be in us, we are to shine forth and manifest the Glory of God to a lost generation.
Isaiah the prophet said, that during a time when great darkness covers the earth, that we, you, would arise and shine resulting in the greatest harvest that ever has been.
Isaiah 60:1 | Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. |
2 | For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. |
3 | And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. |
Our soul has to be purified in order for the Glory to shine through, your spirit is imprisoned until the soul is purified, as the self will of the Soul is laid down and our Mind, Emotions, and Will submits to the lordship of Jesus, only then can the glory the life if Jesus flow through us.
God Bless you
