Part 9 Living in Christ or in Adam Part 1
Right at the beginning of time God gave mankind the choice of either walking in life or walking in death. There were two trees n the Garden of Eden; one represented life the other death.
God created Adams body out of the red earth of Eden, a perfect body made out of the elements of this earth, he was not alive until God breathed life into him, only then did life come to his body, his soul powered up and he became a living Soul. Gen 2:7
However Adam was fist and foremost a spirit, his spirit was the life of his body

James 2:26a

For as the body without the spirit is dead,

Adam was a new Creation in the universe a completely new species; he was the first of a new creation. In Volume 1 Numbers 1 to 6 we saw how that you are very old, that is before you came to this earth you already had an existence in Gods Kingdom. The bible talks about how that you were given a purpose and plan for your life long before you ever came to earth. Adam had known life with God before he came to this earth; however the difference now was that Adam had a physical body and a soul. Adam was no longer just a spirit. He came into this earth and into a physical body, his spirit supplied life to his body and his soul came alive with consciousness and cognition.
I have yet to clearly understand the soul of man, it is a great mystery. The soul is generally understood to be made up of Mind, Emotion, and Will, however in interaction of spirit with the soul is not clearly understood.
Mind emotion and will define to a large degree who we are, what kind of person we are, It defines our make up and describes our motivations and abilities.
Adam lived from his spirit and his soul was subservient to his spirit as was his body to his soul. The order was Spirit Soul and Body, this order was Gods order and still is for us today. Adam through his spirit walked with God who is a Spirit, it was only after Adam fell that he had difficulty relating to God. After the fall the order was reversed to Body Soul and Spirit.
When Adam walked with God in Eden, the flow of life from God to his spirit which in turn overflowed into his soul and body kept him in perfect health and balance.
Adams sin was basically that of choosing independence from God, but in doing so he now had to live by his soul, his own mind, emotion, and will, his spirit was as it were imprisoned or clouded out by Adams physical and soul life, from that point on he began to die. When Adam fell he became body conscious he new he was naked, the direct spirit connection between him and God was severed.
Because Adam was the prototype for all coming humans and now the prototype was faulty Adam bread a race of soulish physical beings, with a spirit imprisoned within and cut off from God.
We know the story, a perfect human being not of the ancestry or line of Adam had to be found to start a new race of people. Jesus had no earthly father.

Luke 1:35

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Mary was not the mother of God she was just the vessel that carried the fetus.
Jesus was tested but found to be without sin, He had the choice to sin otherwise any testing would have been a sham, but He chose not to. Jesus was human He laid aside his divinity when He came to this earth, he was flesh and blood. The bible refers to Him as the last of the Adamic race and the only one without sin.

1 Corinthians 15:45

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Humanity is not a simple host of many individuals, humanity is one huge body, a huge tree with many branches and Adam stood as the head of this tree, everyone that came after Adam was in Adams likeness and Image.

Genesis 5:3	And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
Job 14:4	Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

Jesus incorporated the whole of the fallen race of Adam in himself, and paid the penalty as a substitute for the race, it was written the soul that sins must die. Jesus by gathering the whole human races into Himself and as the last of Adams race put the whole race to death in Himself, with the cry "it is finished" He ended Adams race. Much can be taught on the various aspects of the atoning work of Christ, but it is sufficient to say at this point Jesus brought to an end the fallen race of Adam and started a new race of people in the earth.
That is why Jesus used terminology to describe this new beginning for the human race as being "born again".
When you submitted your life to the Lord Jesus and received pardon for all of your sins, you became a New Creation a new species in the earth, and the order reversed back to Spirit Soul and Body. You became primarily a Spirit with a soul and a body. Your spirit came to the fore taking its rightful place in your life and the connection with God who is a spirit was re-established.
Not only did your spirit come into its rightful place in your life, but the very life,the very spiritual DNA of Jesus was imparted to your spirit and you became a child of God made in His likeness and image.
The Seed of God is now Within You

1 Peter 1:23

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Because like begets like, the seed of an orange tree reproduces and orange tree. The seed of God produces gods, sons made in His image

John 10:34	Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John 10:35	If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

No this is not new age teaching it is Bible Teaching.

Psalms 82:6	I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Psalms 82:7	But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

You have all the attributes of God in you, the DNA is there, and if you will follow the Lord in trust and obedience you will be transformed into the same image and likeness. So why do you die like ordinary men when you are gods.

Colossians 2:9	For in him ( Jesus) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Colossians 2:10	And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
1 Corinthians 1:30	But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

If you were born a bird it's because your father was a bird, or a cow or a sheep.
But you have been born of an incorruptible seed the word of God JESUS.
Its time you lived like who your are, Sons of God.
