Wisdom Part Five - Easy to be entreated The Fourth Pillar of Wisdom

Wisdom Part Five - Easy to be entreated
The Fourth Pillar of Wisdom
James 3:17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
EASY TO BE ENTREATED  The Greek word for Intreated and Easy is From Strong’s G2095 and G3982; good for persuasion, that is, (intransitively) compliant: - easy to be intreated.
Both the word Easy and Intreated are the same Greek word but we need to bear in mind that the Greek language is much fuller than the English and can have a much fuller meaning.
Simply put this phrase means:  Easy to be approached, or easy to talk to because the person is gentle and open. The person is open and teachable.
Firstly it is an attitude towards God
God wants people who are easy to work with, people who are not going to argue with Him.
Obedience is one of God’s greatest requirements of us.
In 1 Samual 15 God told  King Saul to wipe out the Amalekites with all their cattle.
Saul Defeated the Amalekites. Then had a good idea, keep some of the cattle  to sacrifice to God.
It seemed a good idea, very logical to Saul
I Samuel 15:9But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all [that was] good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
10Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,
11It repenteth me that I have set up Saul [to be] king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.
13And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed [be] thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.
14And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
22And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than the fat of rams
23For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.
GOD WANTED IMPLICIT OBEDIENCE
God wants people who are easy to give a command to easy to work with, easy to be intreated.  Saul was constantly motivated by fear which made it difficult for him to obey God.
ABRAHAM ON THE OTHER HAND: Was easy to work with so he became Gods friend and God shared His wisdom with him.
It is Interesting to note that when God spoke to Abraham about circumcision in
Genesis 17: God was making a covenant with Abraham He gave the rite of circumcision to seal it.
God was very specific in His instructions
Genesis 17:10This [is] my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
12And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which [is] not of thy seed.
Specifically on the 8th day: Abraham could have had an attitude that less than God required. He could have said the 6th day more convenient or the 7th, it won’t make any difference. God said the 8th day & didn’t explain why.  What Abraham did not know was that the blood clotting agent does not from in a baby’s blood until the 8th day; many of the babies could have bled to death if they were circumcised before the 8th day.
I have heard Christians say; I need to understand before I can obey God, if that was true faith would not be needed. God wants people who are easy to be intreated, who will obey Him without argument or resistance or excuses. It is always wise to obey and in order to obey without question, this quality, this pillar or foundation has to be established in our hearts. It is always wise to obey God even though you don’t understand why; it could save your life in the end times.
The second aspect of this is expressed man-ward
Some people are very difficult to work with, they contest everything, the object to everything, they are not easy to be intreated.  If you cannot take orders and obey in your secular world you will have great trouble in obeying God.
Proverbs 18:6A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
Proverbs 13:1A wise son [heareth] his father's instruction:
A Father can be anyone over you.
The problem with democracy is that so often everyone wants to be chiefs and not Indians Gods people have to learn to work together. The Kingdom of God is not a democracy. We all have to work under authority of some kind.
Rebellion closes you off to the Wisdom of God and is a form of witchcraft because it leads to a person controlling to get their own way. The spirit of control is a form of witchcraft.
Easy to be entreated, do what you are asked to do, it so refreshing when a person is easy to be entreated. EASY TO WORK WITH.
NOT ARGUMENTIVE: Easy to work with, people who are not a know it all, not an authority on everything. Some people are so opinioned on everything they are a pain to work with.
We all need genuine humility with a gentle and teachable spirit.
John 14:21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
God taught Abraham implicit obedience; Then He then could become his friend and share His wisdom with him
John 15:15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
The heart condition of implicit obedience puts you in a position to receive Gods wisdom without corrupting the purity of that wisdom.
It’s a Pillar that has to be in place
You say but what if I am working under authority that is inept and foolish, then leave the team with a right spirit, but make sure you are not the problem, seek the Lord and obey Him.
God Bless you
